Short Story Intensive
Love writing short fiction but know your stories need work?

Whether you need help with character development, dialogue, pacing, point of view (POV), or conflict, the Short Story Intensive will help you improve your fiction writing abilities and take you one step closer to publication. Working together over a five-week period, we will revise and edit ONE short story together.

Want other people to read your stories, but struggle to get published?

How It Works:

I review your short story and provide feedback on what’s working, what isn’t, and where I think we should focus our time and efforts.

Each week, I assign a piece of “homework” aimed at improving your writing skills and the story itself. By the end of our time together, you will have a much-improved short story that will be ready for submission to literary journals, contests, or grant applications.

$500 for five weeks of professional, one-on-one feedback, guidance, and mentorship.

You have identified that you need help with a certain aspect of your craft.

You are able to clear time over a 5-week period and are prepared to work quickly and efficiently.

You understand the importance of professional help but are on a budget.

Woman Writing
Happy Clients

"Working with Renée in the Short Story Intensive was a transformative experience. As a multidisciplinary artist who spends most of my creative time in the visual and audio realm, I came to writing with a mix of excitement and self-doubt. Renée's thoughtful guidance, deep listening, and intuitive mentoring created a space where I could connect more fully with my voice on the page. She has a rare gift for drawing out what's most alive in a story and encouraging it to shine. Her feedback was insightful, helping me to step outside my comfort zone. Renée's ability to gently quiet the inner critic and nurture confidence is something I'll carry with me beyond our time together."
